Created in 1953 as a tribute to the British monarchy, the first bottles were launched at the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II to celebrate this momentous occasion. As the ultimate sign of respect its name takes inspiration from the 21 Gun Salute fired at the Tower of London for royal celebrations.
